The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce wrapped up its 2025 DC Fly-In this week with its largest delegation to date, with a productive series of meetings and discussions aimed at advancing the region’s legislative priorities. Led by local city and county officials, business and community leaders, the delegation made its case on crucial state and federal issues that impact Albany’s economy, workforce, infrastructure, and cultural development.

Albany Technical College will have the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Dr. Anthony O. Parker Transportation Academy on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Named in honor of the late Dr. Anthony O. Parker, a visionary leader in technical education, this new facility will provide state-of-the-art training opportunities for students pursuing careers in automotive collision repair and diesel technology.
