Albany’s Perry Revell Installed as Board Member of the Georgia Bankers Association

R. Perry Revell, CEO of AB&T in Albany, has been elected by his peers in South Georgia to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA).

Barber, GBA chairman and president and CEO of First National Bank in Bainbridge.

Born and raised in Albany, Revell attended Deerfield-Windsor School before pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Georgia. He later graduated from the Georgia Academy of Economic Development and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Revell began his banking career in 2006 at SunTrust as a credit portfolio manager and a business banker. He joined the team at AB&T in 2011 as a commercial banker. In 2019, Revell became executive vice president overseeing operations, marketing and strategy while maintaining the loan portfolio. He assumed the role as CEO of AB&T in January 2022.

Active with the association, Revell has served on GBA’s Community Bankers Committee. He currently serves as Georgia’s Trustee for the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

In his community, Revell has served on the boards of various civic organizations and non-profits, such as the United Way, the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, the Payroll Development Authority and Albany League Baseball. In 2020 and 2023, Perry served as Chairman of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.
