Albany Technical College announces a significant event marking the community refresh of our Criminal Justice and Cybercrime Investigation Program. This event will take place on June 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Kirkland Conference Center. Rashad Flournoy, Chairperson of the Criminal Justice Department, shared his enthusiasm for the program's enhancements, "We are excited to offer our students a comprehensive education that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training. Our updated curriculum includes advanced driving and shooting simulators, providing practical skills essential for future law enforcement officers. With over 100 years of collective experience among our instructors, we are committed to preparing our students to be change agents in their communities.

Ryan Ward, Chair of the Cybercrime Investigations Program, emphasized the importance of cybersecurity education, "Our program is designed to address the critical need for skilled professionals in the field of cybercrime investigations. Students will gain expertise in combating malware, spam, and other cyber threats, while also learning how to support law enforcement agencies in prosecuting these serious crimes. This refresh emphasizes that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern cyber threats.

Program Overview:

The Criminal Justice and Cybercrime Investigation Program at Albany Technical College provides students with comprehensive training in various aspects of the criminal justice system. The program includes courses on policing, courts, corrections, and forensic science. Students can choose from a diploma, degree, or certificate option, each designed to prepare them for a range of careers in law enforcement and cybersecurity.
