The base will open its gates to the local community for its annual Buddy Fishing Tournament, Saturday, June 3, from 8-10 a.m. 

The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

The tournament is for children under the age of 16 who are accompanied by an adult.  Registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the event.

Fishing licenses are not required and children keep all the fish they catch, but must do all the fishing. Attendees must bring their own tackle and bait.

Following the event, trophies are awarded to both boys and girls for the biggest fish caught and for catching the most fish.

Special Note:  Due to increased force protection conditions in place, all adult visitors without normal base access will be required to provide identification at the main gate.  Proper identification for motorists will include a valid driver's license, registration and insurance.

All guests are encouraged to arrive early for proper processing and are reminded not to bring weapons of any kind, drugs or alcohol. All coolers, tackle boxes, etc., will be subject to search.
