On Friday May 19, 2017, Da’Koris Grissom a 5th grade student from Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts received the Young Citizenship Award from The Exchange Club of Albany. To achieve this award students must exhibit and display leadership characteristics that are indicative of academic scholarship, mentoring, cooperative leadership, community civic involvement, sportsmanship and the continuous displaying of an overall comprehensive positive mindset.
