Two oversized loads traveling from Brunswick to Procter & Gamble in Albany are scheduled to begin travel Thursday.

The loads will travel 30 minutes apart and will be escorted by law enforcement and accompanied by utility bucket trucks. The width of the loads will require use of two lanes, but the convoy will periodically pull over to allow traffic to pass.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the route if possible; otherwise, please be patient and do not try and pass the convoy.

Travel time is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The trucks are scheduled to leave the Port of Brunswick at 9 a.m. (load one) and 9:30 a.m. (load two) Thursday and should reach Albany by March 30 or 31.

Cities along the route and target travel dates are Jesup (Thursday), Waycross (Friday) and Tifton (March 28 or 29). The vehicles will not move Sunday and are not allowed to travel in Tifton or Albany on Friday or Saturday.

Around milepost 16.5-17 in Dougherty County, the truck will travel in the eastbound lane on U.S. 82 for low overhead sign clearance, then switch back to U.S. 82 West
