DWS Headmaster Dave Davies to Leave Position at Conclusion of the 2016-2017 Academic Year

Ron Mitchell, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Deerfield-Windsor School, announced that Headmaster Dave Davies has informed the Board that he will be leaving his position at the conclusion of the 2016-2017 academic year.
Mitchell commented, “Dave has been an outstanding leader for the DWS community, bringing vision and dedication to his role as Head of School over the past seven years. Dave has also been a great friend and active member of the DWS and Albany communities. Dave has led a meaningful transition of DWS during his tenure, and we wish Dave and Gina all the best as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.”
Davies stated, “I am proud of what the DWS community has accomplished in the past seven years. We have made improvements in facilities, programs, and finances, and the School is in a strong position. I am grateful to the Deerfield-Windsor and Albany communities for their support. I will continue to work with the School through this transition period.”
The Board of Trustees has begun the search for the next Head of School for Deerfield-Windsor and has engaged Southern Teachers Agency from Charlottesville, VA to assist with the search.
