Deerfield-Windsor Senior Emily Pursel Wins Four Awards in Scholastic Art and Writing Competition

Established in 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation’s largest, longest-running, most prestigious visual and literary arts program recognizing accomplishments of students in grades 7 – 12. Winning a Scholastic Art & Writing Award offers the opportunity for numerous scholarships. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards recognize the vision, ingenuity, and talent of our nation’s youth, and provide opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated. 

Pursel received one Gold Key award, the highest possible award; two Silver Keys and two Honorable Mentions.   She will attend Bucknell University in the fall.
