Deerfield-Windsor Named Top High School Art Program

Deerfield-Windsor School received the School of Distinction Award on Sunday, March 13th as the 36th Annual Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County Art Competition awarded Middle and High school students Art Awards. Donna Rouse, Upper School art teacher, was honored as the teacher of the winning school program.
Student winners were awarded ribbons and will receive cash prizes in May.
Senior Hadden Kelley earned the top award, first place Best in Show, and also won first place and honorable mention in the twelfth grade competition.
Sophomore Johnathan Herrbold won first place, third place, and honorable mention.
Seventh grader Jake Herrbold and ninth grader Sarah Chambless won third place in their respective grades.
Honorable mentions went to seventh grader Laura Morrissey, eighth grader Davis Jones, tenth grader Alexandria Michas, and senior Helena Augenstein.
Mrs. Margaret Wilson teaches middle school art at DWS.
