EGA Productions has launched for the second year the Albany Battle of the Bands.  Last year, over 40 bands registered to compete and it was a huge success and brought business to the Albany area. The theme for this year is “Listening to the Stars” and will be dedicated to Ed “Uncle Ed” Washburn and Jonathon Wills, two former music industry professionals of our community. There will be other names mentioned as well.

On April 29^th, there will be a Red Carpet event for all participants, judges, staff, and VIP guests at the Chehaw Creekside Center. Cost to the Red Carpet is $10 each. The event includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, music, and networking with some of the best musicians in Southwest Georgia.  If businesses are interested in attending this social gathering, please email [email protected].

Currently bands are signed up to perform in front of industry professional judges and will battle it out to see who will be the 2016 Albany Battle of the Bands Champion! The finale' event will be held on April 30th at Chehaw's Stage on Philema Road. The public is welcomed and it is a family oriented event.
