Business owners can learn the latest marketing trends and marketing strategies to effectively market their business in 2017:

The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center announces a marketing series designed for business owners to learn the latest online and social media trends so that they can develop successful marketing strategies to build relationships with customers and grow their business. Optimizing Marketing Strategies in a Digital World includes five sessions:

March 2 – Using LinkedIn to Build Influence

March 23 – Making Facebook Strategic

April 13 – Mobile Marketing and Online Strategy

April 27 – Pinterest/Instagram/Video for Business

May 11 – Digital Strategies for Your Marketing Plan

While each course can be attended individually for $49, businesses can sign up for all five at once for $195 and earn a Marketing Series Certificate. Classes will be held from 9 AM – 11 AM in the Candy Room at 125 Pine Avenue, Albany, GA. 31701.

Debbie Finney, Area Director for UGA SBDC in Albany has this to say about the program:

“Because we have so many opportunities to reach our customers today, many people feel that marketing has changed. Marketing has not changed. Technology has changed many of the tools and tactics business owners use today – whether in traditional media or in the digital world. Not only do businesses need a strong online presence, now it is just as important to know what to say to customers in addition to where to say it. The goal of this series is for businesses to not only learn new trends and tactics, but to implement a successful marketing strategy they can use and measure results.”

Registration for the classes is available online at www.georgiasbdc.org/optimizing-marketing-strategies or you can register by phone by calling (229)420-1144.
