Jimmy Wilson on New Role as Albany Area Market President for Renasant Bank

New Renasant Bank Albany Area President Jimmy Wilson talks about his new role at the bank and his Albany roots.

Renasant is pleased to announce the promotion of Jimmy Wilson to Albany Area Market President; Carol Slappey to Chief Retail Officer-Georgia; and Robin Glass to Regional Branch Coordinator for South Georgia. 

Jimmy Wilson - As the Albany Area Market President, Wilson is charged with cultivating the Bank’s relationships within Lee, Dougherty, Worth and surrounding counties. A veteran banker and long-time advocate of the Albany community, Wilson joined the Bank is 2009 to lead the Bank’s expansion in the Lee County market. He is also very familiar with the Albany community where he has served in numerous leadership positions including Chairman for the Albany Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Southwest Georgia. 

Eastern Region President, Len Dorminey remarked on the announcement, “We are pleased to begin 2016 with such exciting news. Jimmy has been instrumental in our ability to serve and prosper in Lee County. His commitment to this area is unsurpassed and he will continue to be a dynamic spokesperson for the Bank and our community.” 

Carol Slappey - A life-time member of the Albany community, Slappey joined HeritageBank of the South as the Chief Operations Officer in 1993. She was named Albany Market President in 2003 and accepted dual roles as the Albany Market President and Chief Retail Administration Officer in 2011. With the merger of HeritageBank of the South into Renasant Bank in 2015, Slappey assumed greater responsibility for the Bank’s retail division and now serves as the Chief Retail Officer- Georgia to accommodate the organization’s expanding needs. 

Robin Glass - A banking veteran of 28 years, Robin Glass has been named Regional Branch Coordinator for South Georgia. Glass joined HeritageBank of the South in 1994 and most recently served as the Bank’s Director of Loan Operations. As Regional Branch Coordinator, Glass oversees the retail operations of 19 branch locations throughout the South Georgia market area. 

Regarding the transitions, Len Dorminey, Eastern Region President, also commented, “Carol and Robin are both exceptional leaders who’ve been pinnacle in the success of our organization. This transition will allow the Bank to continue utilizing their expertise and experience within our retail division to best serve our customers.”
