Hi.  My name is Larry Price from Albany Winnelson Company.  We’re a wholesale plumbing supply here at 2150 Gillionville Road in Albany, and we’ve been serving the Albany and Southwest Georgia area for 30 years.  We started in 1982, partnering with local contractors and builders and plumbing contractors to be able to supply a need for the homes that they’re building, and also the ones they’re rehabbing to remodel and fix those houses up.  We’ve had a positive impact in our community because we’ve found our niche and our niche is to service the customers that we sell.   

Albany is indeed a good-life city and I know that there’s a lot of negative things in the press about our city.  But we’ve got a lot of great things going in Albany and Winnelson Company is proud to be a part of that.  We’ve got Albany Tech, we’ve got Darton College, and we’ve got Albany State College, and those are three power units.  We’ve got great hospitals here in Albany.  We’ve got lakes, we’ve got golf courses, we’ve got a lot of things.  We’ve got shopping—the best shopping area for a hundred-mile radius of us here from south of Macon, to north of Augusta, to Moultrie, to Tifton.  And so there’s a lot of customers that come in.

So Albany has got a lot of positive things to offer people who are moving, who are looking for a home, and we’re proud to be a part of that.  I’m proud to be a part of the community in Albany.  I have been in service through the Albany’s Boys’ Club.  I’ve been on missions committees.  I’ve been through civic clubs, our North Atlanta Kiwanis Club.  And we have just enjoyed working with the community.  I think for a business to be successful it has to give back to the community that it serves, and Albany Winnelson is proud to be a part of our community.
