I'm Rashelle Beasley. I'm with the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau. We have the marathon every year. It's coming up in March. It's always the first weekend in March. There are opportunities for sponsorships. We have the SB&T Bike Race, and there's opportunities for sponsorships with that as well. The whole weekend, which includes the Mardi Gras Street Festival, brings in about $3 million in tourism economic impact.

We also have the Welcome Center, where we welcome visitors into the area. At the Welcome Center, we have all of the Albany maps available. We have a listing of all the hotel rooms, restaurants. We can plan itineraries. If people are coming in on business and they have to stay for long stays, we can give them an itinerary, local places where they can go and relax and hang out. If they choose to bring their families in, we can plan things for them as well, as well as in Albany, but in the surrounding area. We also have the "From the Heart of Southwest Georgia" film upstairs, which is a 12‑minute video that talks about the history of our area and all of the attractions that we have. Those are good for businesses who are trying to recruit people to come to Albany because it gives the history of our area.

Also, we can design itineraries for businesses. If they're having meetings here, we can help design packages that will help them during their downtime. The gift shop that we have is the only place you can get Albany souvenirs. We also have the local authors. We have all of the books from local authors, as well as the fine edibles, such as jellies and, not fried, but pickled green tomatoes.
