Thursday, November 5th, 2026
Phoebe Physicians is welcoming four new cardiologists who will expand and enhance expert heart care for patients throughout southwest Georgia. Structural heart specialist Moshrik Abd Alamir, MD, and advanced cardiac imaging specialist Victor Redmon, MD will be based at Phoebe Cardiology of Albany. Lorena Doctor, MD, joins the team at Phoebe Cardiology of Americus. And Rajendra Solanki, DO, will serve as an inpatient cardiologist at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
“At Phoebe, we’re committed to making sure southwest Georgians have easy access to quality cardiac care, when and where they need it,” said Estrellita Redmon, MD, President of Phoebe Physicians. “Dr. Doctor joins Dr. Jordan Simmons to expand our services in Americus. Dr. Solanki is now part of our cardiology hospitalist team who ensure patients get specialized cardiac care when they’re hospitalized. And Dr. Alamir and Dr. Redmon bring an integrated approach to structural heart care and cardiovascular imaging that will benefit patients across southwest Georgia,” she added.
Dr. Alamir is an interventional cardiologist and fellowship-trained structural heart physician. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging, and structural heart disease. Dr. Alamir will perform numerous advanced and minimally invasive structural heart procedures including WATCHMAN – a heart implant designed to reduce the risk of stroke in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation – and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) which replaces the heart’s main valve when normal blood flow is blocked by aortic stenosis.
Dr. Redmon is a cardiologist with advanced cardiac imaging training. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and cardiology. His services include cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, cardiac PET, and advanced transesophageal imaging.
Dr. Redmon and Dr. Alamir work together during structural heart procedures. Dr. Redmon provides advanced imaging in the cath lab to help guide procedures and evaluate device placement, providing enhanced precision.
"Patients with complex heart conditions shouldn't have to leave southwest Georgia for advanced care. With Dr. Alamir's structural heart expertise and Dr. Redmon's imaging skills working side by side in our cath lab, we can offer advanced procedures that keep our patients here at home for their care. We're thrilled to welcome all of these new specialized physicians to the Phoebe team," Dr. Estrellita Redmon said.
Dr. Alamir and Dr. Victor Redmon see patients at Phoebe Cardiology of Albany at 425 W. 3rd Ave., Suite 600 in Albany. To make an appointment, call 229-312-1022. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Doctor in Americus, call 229-931-7159.
