Gas Prices Drop in Georgia
Wednesday, October 21st, 2026
Georgia gas prices may be easing, but rising oil prices could slow further relief at the pump. Crude oil climbed sharply last Friday amid concerns about global supply disruptions. While Georgia drivers are seeing some relief, continued volatility in the oil market could put renewed pressure on prices. The state average currently sits at $3.73 per gallon, subject to overnight changes.
“Crude oil prices and potential supply disruptions remain factors to watch for drivers,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “While market conditions remain uncertain, drivers can help manage fuel costs by shopping around for the best prices, taking advantage of fuel rewards programs, and planning trips efficiently.”
Compared to recent benchmarks:
-
8 cents lower than last week
-
36 cents lower than last month
-
91 cents higher than last year
For those filling up a standard 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline, the cost is approximately $55.95.
National Gas Price Average Holds Steady as Crude Oil Remains High
The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline dropped 6 cents from last week to $4.29. Despite the decline, elevated crude oil prices and market volatility continue to limit the seasonal drop in fuel costs typically seen during the fall.
