Albany State University Hosts President’s Speaking Series with National Leader Rosie Allen-Herring

Albany State University (ASU) is proud to announce the launch of its newly rebranded President’s Speaking Series, formerly known as the President’s Lecture Series, with an inspiring keynote event focused on community impact. This event is open to the public.
The series will welcome Mrs. Rosie Allen-Herring, Interim President and CEO of United Way Worldwide and National First Vice President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6 PM, in the Billy C. Black Building auditorium on ASU’s East Campus.
A nationally recognized leader in philanthropy and civic engagement, Allen-Herring leads a global United Way network serving 48 million people across more than 30 countries. With more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, strategic leadership, and community impact, she has dedicated her career to advancing equity and improving outcomes in health, education, and economic mobility.
The President’s Speaking Series serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue, leadership development, and career preparation, reinforcing Albany State University’s dedication to student success and community engagement.
Allen-Herring’s distinguished career includes executive leadership roles at Fannie Mae, where she managed multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios and led initiatives resulting in more than $2 billion in community investments. She has also received numerous honors, including induction into the Washington Business Hall of Fame and recognition among the nation’s most powerful business leaders.
This event is expected to draw significant interest, with seating limited to 300 attendees. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are encouraged to secure tickets early.
