A Patriotic Pops Concert at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre Celebrating America 250

WHAT: Join the Albany Symphony Orchestra, conducted by guest conductor, Marc F. Boensel, and guests, the Bo Henry Band, for a concert of Patriotic Music on the banks of the Flint River. The concert begins at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 16, Armed Forces Day. Music will include favorite Sousa marches, music from the movies, “Victory at Sea”, “Bridge Over the River Kwai”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “The Patriot”, a “Salute to the Armed Forces”, and “Hero” by Bo Henry.
Special guests will include MCLB Commanding Officer, Colonel McKinney, announcing selections and The Daughters of the American Revolution, sharing about the America 250 celebration.
Gates at Veterans Park open at 6pm and there is a clear bag policy. The concert will be preceded with music by the Bo Henry Band. No outside food or drinks allowed, food trucks will be present. There is no admission charge for the concert, but a suggested donation of $15.
