The Dougherty County Board of Commissioners announces revised dates for the public hearings regarding the proposed 2025 property tax increase. The Board encourages all residents to participate in the process by attending and sharing comments during the scheduled hearings.

The hearings will take place at the Government Center, located at 222 Pine Avenue in Albany.

Revised Hearing Schedule:

• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. – Room 100

• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at 6 p.m. – Room 120

• Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. – Room 100

These hearings are required to give citizens an opportunity to provide input on the proposed millage rate changes for 2025. Community engagement is a vital part of transparent and responsible governance, and the Board welcomes feedback from Dougherty County residents.
