The Dougherty County School System (DCSS) is proud to announce a new partnership with Food Lion to provide monthly food assistance to families across the district. Through this collaboration, Food Lion has committed to supplying food items for 50 DCSS families every two months, which will be distributed through DCSS’s Family and Community Engagement Office.

Families are chosen based on need and will come from referrals from DCSS schools, social workers and the district's Department of Family and Community Engagement.

This partnership reflects DCSS’s ongoing strategic priority of Family and Community Engagement, reinforcing the district’s belief that strong community connections are essential to student success

Distribution to families will begin in the coming weeks.
