Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, November 13th, 2025

As Georgia families feel the strain of rising food prices and reduced SNAP benefits, the Hill of Hope Foundation is stepping in to provide immediate relief and lasting support.

Founded in honor of the late Dr. Maria Hill Fondal, the newly launched nonprofit is driven by a mission to advance health equity, educational opportunity, and economic resilience across underserved communities.

$1,000 Donation to Feed the Valley Thanksgiving Meal Program

Hill of Hope has donated $1,000 to the Feed the Valley Thanksgiving Meal Program, providing approximately 100 meals to families in need this holiday season. Each $10 supports elderly, disabled, homeless people, or families in need. The Foundation is proud to be an official sponsor.

$500 Grant to A Better Way Grocers (SNAP Relief)

The foundation also awarded a $500 grant to A Better Way Grocers, led by Tiffany Terrell, to expand their SNAP Relief Initiative. This funding will provide 10 emergency relief boxes earmarked for cancer patients at Phoebe, along with 30 produce bags distributed to families through the organization’s mobile grocery network. Together, these efforts will ensure more families and patients have access to fresh, nutritious food during times of need.

“These partnerships reflect what Hill of Hope stands for community-led change rooted in dignity and opportunity,” said Wesley Fondal, Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder. “We’re honoring our mother’s legacy by turning compassion into measurable action.”
