Albany Technical College Launches “No Fee November” Application Fee Waived All Month

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, November 5th, 2025

Albany Technical College will waive the application fee for all new applications submitted during No Fee November (November 1–30). Students can apply 100% online at albanytech.edu/admissions/how-to-apply and take the next step toward Spring Semester, which begins January 12. All applicants, regardless of their applicant type, can apply the code FREEAPP26 to waive their application fees this November.

Albany Tech offers 52 programs across the region’s in-demand fields, including 38 degrees, 44 diplomas, and 172 Technical Certificates of Credit (TCCs). Short-term certificates can be completed in as little as 8 weeks, while associate degree pathways can be finished in up to two years, depending on the program and student pace.

“No Fee November removes a barrier that can keep students from starting. Whether you plan to learn on campus in our hands-on labs or study fully online, this is the moment to apply and secure your spot for spring,” said Jerri Carroll, Vice President for Student Affairs. “Our team is ready to help you with admissions and financial aid from day one.”

Albany Tech provides flexible ways to learn. Many programs require on-campus lab time for skill-based learning, and the college also served nearly 2,000 students fully online last year—a strong option for working adults, caregivers, and students balancing busy schedules.

Financial Aid: Start Early

Last year, Albany Tech students received more than 2,000 Pell Grants and over 1,100 HOPE Scholarships.

  • Pell Grant: Federal need-based aid for eligible undergraduates; does not have to be repaid.

  • HOPE Scholarship: Georgia’s merit-based award for residents who meet academic requirements.

Students are strongly encouraged to begin their financial aid application as soon as they apply. Step-by-step guidance is available atalbanytech.edu/financial-aid/how-to-apply-for-financial-aid.
