Finding and applying for scholarships just got easier for Albany State University (ASU) students. In November, the Office of Financial Aid launched Scholarship Universe, a new online platform that connects students to thousands of internal and external scholarship opportunities all through one personalized, mobile-friendly system. 

Available now at asurams.scholarshipuniverse.com, the tool simplifies the scholarship search process by matching students directly with opportunities tailored to their background, academic program, and personal interests.

“Providing the best possible student experience is always our priority,” said Carrie Wilder, Director of Financial Aid at Albany State University. “We heard from students who wanted an easier, more personalized way to apply for scholarships. Scholarship Universe delivers exactly that. It empowers our students to take control of their financial future by connecting them with funding opportunities that fit who they are and what they’re pursuing.”

Through Scholarship Universe, students can:

• Answer a few quick questions to be automatically matched with scholarships they qualify for.

• Apply online to multiple opportunities using a single, personalized dashboard.

• Track progress with real-time updates on scholarships they’ve started, submitted, or been awarded.

• View key metrics, such as how competitive each scholarship is and the effort required to apply.

• Receive alerts about new matches, deadlines, and next steps to stay on top of their applications.

The platform provides a detailed overview of all available scholarships, including how many are open or upcoming, total funds available, and progress on applications. Currently, 3,551 open and future scholarships are listed in the system, representing more than $2.8 million in available funding.

With Scholarship Universe, ASU students no longer need to search multiple websites or wonder if they qualify for certain awards. The platform ensures that opportunities both from Albany State and external sources, are accessible, transparent, and tailored to each student’s unique profile.
