Students are back in school but there are many students and teachers who still need important school supplies.  Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) is calling on the community to help make a big difference for local students with our “Fill the Big Blue Bus” Back-to-School Drive.

Join AAPHC on Wednesday, August 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 2408 Westgate Drive in Albany for a drive-thru donation event that’s all about helping kids start the school year on the right foot.

This all-day event is your chance to fill AAPHC’s Big Blue Bus with school supplies and uniforms for students right here in Southwest Georgia. “Just drive up, pop your trunk, and our team will unload your donations. Rain or shine, we’ll be there collecting much-needed items to help local families prepare for a successful school year, “ says Brandy Church, spokesperson for Albany Area Primary Health Care.

AAPHC is collecting:

  • Backpacks

  • Notebooks, pens, pencils, and highlighters

  • Crayons, markers, glue sticks, and scissors

  • Folders and binders

  • Uniform polos and khaki pants (all sizes)

  • Lunch boxes and water bottles

“Whether you’re dropping off a single notebook or a trunk full of backpacks, every donation matters,” says Brandy. “Together, we can ensure that every student and teacher has the important supplies they need for a successful school year.”
