Albany State University (ASU) will host the 2025 Criminal Justice Association of Georgia (CJAG) Annual Conference from September 25 - 26, 2025. The theme for this year is “The Future of Criminal Justice: Navigating the New Normal.” This prestigious event brings together criminal justice students, faculty, and professionals from across the state, fostering an environment of learning, collaboration, and professional development.

The theme for this year is “The Future of Criminal Justice: Navigating the New Normal.” This prestigious event brings together criminal justice students, faculty, and professionals from across the state, fostering an environment of learning, collaboration, and professional development.

Conference attendees are invited to present their research through formal presentations and will have the opportunity to earn both Georgia Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) credits. The deadline for abstract submissions is August 22, 2025.

Patrick Rodriquez, Co-Executive Director of the Georgia Coalition for Higher Education in Prison, will serve as this year’s keynote speaker. Rodriquez is a nationally recognized thought leader in prison education, with initiatives rooted in building equitable, high-quality educational pathways to degree completion for incarcerated learners across Georgia.

Alongside the keynote speaker, the conference will offer an opportunity to engage with leading experts, enhance your professional skills, and connect with peers in the criminal justice field. The registration fee is $25 for students and $75 for faculty and professionals, which includes both conference participation and annual membership dues.
