The City of Albany proudly announces that it has been named in the top 100 Public fleets, as determined by the 2025 100 Best Fleets in the Americas competition.

This contest is hosted annually by NAFA National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association.

This year’s competition was the most competitive yet, with the contest receiving a record number of applications out of the 38,000 Public Fleets. Placements were announced during NAFA’s Institute & Expo, the largest fleet event of 2025. Albany Fleet Management Department has been in the top 100 Fleets in the Americas four years in a
row.

For over two decades, the 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program has recognized peak- performing public fleet operations, encouraging the ever-increasing level of operational improvement in the fleet industry. Fleet applicants are judged based on 12 Criteria for Excellence, which are designed to highlight initiatives that fleet operations excel at. The City of Albany’s Fleet team ranked in this year’s competition due to a variety of peak-performing initiatives implemented by our fleet team. Albany Fleet Management has also won several other awards and certifications.
