Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany is thrilled to announce Ronnie DeVoe, legendary R&B artist and member of the iconic groups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, as the keynote speaker for the 37th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner.

The highly anticipated event will take place on April 17, 2025, bringing together over 700 community leaders, supporters, and—most importantly— 150 young people served by the Clubs.

The Steak & Burger Dinner is the Club’s signature fundraising event, designed to celebrate local youth, recognize community impact, and raise critical funds to support programs that empower young people to reach their full potential.

About the Keynote Speaker – Ronnie DeVoe

Before hitting it big, Ronnie DeVoe and other members of New Edition spent hours rehearsing dance moves at their Boston Boys’ Club. From the age of six, the Club taught Ronnie how to work hard in academics, athletics, and art, skills that helped him shine as a member of legendary music groups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe in the ‘80s and ’90s.

Beyond his music career, Ronnie ventured into real estate in Atlanta, establishing DeVoe Real Estate, where he is an advocate for fair housing and economic empowerment. He also founded Bikes & Backpacks, a charitable projectaimed at promoting education and fitness among youth in urban areas. Through this initiative, he has visited numerous Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, reinforcing the same values that helped shape his own success.
