Albany Technical College Launches The Hub: A New Food & Clothing Pantry for Students
Monday, March 24th, 2025
Albany Technical College announces the grand opening of The Hub – Food & Clothing Pantry, a new initiative designed to support students who are facing food insecurity and financial hardship. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Albany Technical College, CEIT Building, Room 130.
"The Hub is an essential step in ensuring our students have the resources they need to succeed," said Jerri Carroll, Vice President for Student Affairs. "No student should have to choose between their education and basic necessities. This initiative provides a critical support system for those in need."
The Hub offers approved access to non-perishable food, professional attire, casual clothing, and seasonal essentials. Students who qualify can request assistance by filling out an inquiry form at albanytech.edu/thehub.
"We want students to know they are not alone," said Yolanda Skinner, Special Populations Coordinator. "This pantry will help eliminate barriers and provide a hand up to those who need it most."
How to Support The Hub
Community members, faculty, and staff who wish to contribute can donate non-perishable food, gently used clothing, or monetary support. More information on donations can be found at albanytech.edu/thehub.
