Albany Technical College Basketball Teams Conclude Strong Seasons; Coach Kenneth Williams Named GCAA Coach of the Year

 Albany Technical College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams wrapped up their 2024-2025 seasons with impressive performances, solidifying their positions among the top teams in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA).

The Lady Titans finished their regular season with an outstanding 20-8 overall record and an 11-4 conference record, demonstrating resilience and determination throughout the season. Their strong play was recognized at the conference level, with standout Janiya Johnson (#2) earning a spot on the GCAA First Team All-Region and Carliss Johnson (#0) being named to the Second Team All-Region.

On the men’s side, the Titans concluded their season 15-14 overall and 10-6 in conference play, showcasing competitive play against tough opponents. Chase Hill (#7) earned GCAA First Team All-Region honors, while Greg Jones (#11) was selected for the Second Team All-Region and also named to the GCAA All-Defensive Team for his stellar defensive contributions.

Adding to the program’s achievements, Coach Kenneth Williams was named the 2024-2025 GCAA Women’s DI Basketball Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Lady Titans built a winning culture and delivered a remarkable season, positioning Albany Technical College as a powerhouse in the conference.

“We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and the dedication they’ve shown throughout this season,” said Dr. Emmett Griswold, President of Albany Technical College. “Coach Williams and his team have represented Albany Tech with excellence, and this well-earned recognition.”
