November Job Gains Reach 63,900 in Albany, Unemployment Holds at 4.1%

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that Albany recorded an unemployment rate of 4.1 percent in November, unchanged over-the-month. A year ago, the rate was 3.4 percent.

The labor force decreased in Albany by 265 and ended the month with 65,586. That number went up by 1,318 when compared to November of 2023.

Albany finished the month with 62,903 employed residents. That number decreased by 258 over-the-month and went up by 811 when compared to the same time a year ago.

Albany ended November with 63,900 jobs. Jobs were up 100 over-the-month and were up by 1,400 over-the-year.
