Her professional journey has been characterized by a passion for supporting non-traditional students and empowering them to achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals.
“I am excited to transition into my new role as Executive Director,” said Dr. Williams. “As a former low-income student who took a non-traditional path, I understand the challenges many of our students face. My goal is to provide them with the resources and support they need to thrive. I look forward to making a positive impact on Albany Technical College and the greater community.”
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dr. Williams is deeply involved in community service. She serves as a volunteer for the Dougherty County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), a member of the Head Start Health Service Advisory Board, and the chairman of the ExPand Program.
Dr. Williams resides in Albany with her husband, Micah, and their two daughters, Elizabeth and Miya. Her vision for the Dual Achievement Academy includes fostering an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to pursue their educational goals and contribute positively to their communities.
