Albany Technical College (ATC) will host the second annual Wellness Fair, taking place on September 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kirkland Conference Center. This event is designed to provide students with comprehensive resources and information to support their overall well-being.

The Wellness Fair will feature a variety of educational stations focused on critical areas of wellness, including nutrition, mental health and counseling, self-care, hygiene, dental care, first aid, financial wellness, academic health, spiritual wellness, and more. Additionally, the event will cover the dangers of vaping, the benefits of exercise, and healthy snack preparation. Students will have the unique opportunity to interact with ATC’s RN students, who will be on-site to provide free blood pressure checks and discuss the importance of managing hypertension.

“The purpose of this event is to educate and celebrate the ongoing efforts of our campus and community partners in promoting integrated approaches to overall wellness in college life at Albany Tech,” said Lashea Dancer, Director of Student Wellness (M.A.P.P.).

Several community partners will also participate in the Wellness Fair, showcasing a wide range of local wellness resources available to students. Their involvement underscores the strong support network that exists for students seeking to maintain a healthy lifestyle while pursuing their educational goals.

The Wellness Fair is sponsored by ATC’s Student Wellness: Mental, Academic & Physical Preparedness (MAPP) Grant, funded by the Department of Education. This initiative reflects Albany Tech’s commitment to fostering a supportive and healthy environment for all students.
