Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, May 21st, 2024

Work has started on the Albany Museum of Art Teen Art Board’s Downtown Albany Mural Project. The project is expected to be completed on Friday. Please let us know if you would like to cover this project this week.

The mural is the 2023-24 Teen Art Board's community project. It is located on the north exterior wall of the Cookie Shoppe on North Jackson Street facing the Central Library and the Albany Municipal Auditorium.

Ramiro Davaro-Comas, a New York artist who had work on exhibition at the Albany Museum of Art in fall 2023, is heading the painting teams and designed the mural based on drawings by Albany area elementary school students.

Attached are photos from early work on the project.
