On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the City of Albany Commission met for its regular
meeting. Below are some of the items that were voted on.
• Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement (SWMAA): Authorizing execution of the Georgia
Emergency Management Agency Statewide Mutual Aid and Assistance Agreement.
o The Commission approved the resolution.
• 901 and 905 N. Jackson St. Amended Deed of Gift: Accepting First Amendment
to Deed of Gift with reverter for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital's donation with
conditions of 901 and 905 N. Jackson Street.
o The Commission approved the resolution.
• Ritz Theater Center Design Services: Authorizing the use of SPLOST VIII Funds
for Ritz Theater Center Design Services.
o The Commission approved the resolution.
• Maintenance Buildings re: Flint River Golf Course: NSCS, LLC dba Newell
Construction, Albany, GA. Total exp. $1,308,486.
o The Commission approved the purchase.
• HVAC Replacement 401 Pine Ave.: Albany Air Conditioning/Heating Co.; Albany,
GA: Total exp. $1,063,830.
o The Commission approved the purchase.
• IGA re: ADICA: Approving the execution of the Intergovernmental Agreement with
ADICA.
o The Commission approved the resolution.
• Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH) Letter of Support:
Supporting Lockwood Companies' redevelopment of Dogwood Trail Apartments II.
o The Commission approved the resolution.

• Carroll Gardens re: HOME-ARP Housing Development: Approving an agreement
with the MP Organization, LLC Construction of a 32-unit multifamily housing
development (13 HOME-ARP) 108 S. Carroll St. (Carroll Gardens); authorizing

construction loan to the MP Organization, LLC in the amount of $1,528,645 from HOME-
ARP Funds.

o The Commission approved the resolution with amendments to be made
and voted on at a special called meeting in May.

• Loan Request re: Multi-Unit Family Development: Authorizing the expenditure of
funds for the Harding Court Senior Apartments Project.
o The Commission approved the resolution.
