Dougherty County Commissioners Summer Internship Program Graduates

Dougherty County, GA-This summer, eleven students took part in the 2023 Dougherty County Internship Program from June 5th through July 31st. Each were assigned to work in various departments throughout the county.
“Commissioner Edwards is the one who has been leading this charge for a few years, getting the county back to a place where we bring in interns, bringing in young brilliant bright minds, said Dougherty County Chairman Lorenzo Heard, “We hope that you had a good experience and hopefully sign up to work with us again.”
The internship program is open to local high school, college and university students and gives students an inner view of county government. Interns had a variety of responsibilities and were assigned projects that relate to his or her field of study. The Dougherty County Paid Summer Internship Program application period begins in May of each year.
