Scooter’s Coffee Continues Georgia Expansion
Monday, June 12th, 2023
Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise experiencing record-breaking growth, continues its expansion throughout the United States by bringing its world-class coffee to Tifton, Albany, Statesboro, and Waynesboro, Georgia.
The expansion into South Georgia is the result of a four-unit franchise agreement signed by Milan Patel, Nick Patel, Akash Patel, and Prashant Patel. Prashant says the men have been talking about going into business together for years. “Milan and Nick are brothers. Nick is married to Akash’s sister, and my sister is married to Akash,” said Prashant.
Nick and Akash ran a smoothie franchise together and were looking for another, less seasonal, business when they heard about Scooter’s Coffee. “Ironically, I’d just started making inquiries about Scooter’s Coffee at the same time,” said Prashant. “We all love their business model and think coffee is a great business to get into right now.”
Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.
According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60% of Americans drank coffee in the past day. And 28% of people reported purchasing coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant in the past day — a number that’s almost back to pre-pandemic levels. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!®” are helping Americans stay caffeinated and safe while providing high-quality products with a smile.
“We want to be the biggest Scooter’s coffee franchisee we can be in the Southeast. We’re starting with four stores, but someday we plan to have as many as two dozen.”
“The Patels are Scooter’s Coffee’s ambassadors in South Georgia, a yet untapped market for us,” said Matt Sawicki, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Development. “We’re excited to have entrepreneurs like them on board to help us expand throughout the region.”
