GDOT Awards 4 Projects in SWGA Construction Contracts

Recently awarded 4 projects Georgia Department of Transportation construction contracts include Baker, Crisp, Irwin and Tift Counties. 

The largest contract that Georgia DOT awarded on October 21 was approximately $9.3 million for milling and plant mix resurfacing on SR 35 from the Colquitt County line to the south of US Highway 82 in Tift County. The project was awarded to The Scruggs Company.

A $2.8 million contract will resurface 7.8 miles and rehab shoulders on State Route 253 from the Decatur County line to south of State Route 91 in Baker County. The contract was awarded to Oxford Construction company.

Resurfacing contracts awarded are for Crisp and Irwin counties totaling approximately $3.4 million. Note: All were resurfacing contracts except for Irwin County which was a Bridge Replacement on Big Creek Rd. over Big Creek.
