Sea Lion Rescue
Thursday, Friday & Saturday
10:30 am & 1:30 pm
Every year, hundreds of thousands of animals are entangled and die in discarded or lost fishing nets across the world. Two dedicated women in Mexico have been tracking dozens of entangled sea lions that are slowly being killed by nets cutting into their necks. Watch as they lead an international team of veterinarians and wildlife experts to capture the sea lions and perform delicate surgery to save them. This film contains graphic depictions of animal death and dissection.
The Wild Pacific
Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Noon & 3 pm
Directed by Emmy-nominated Michael Watchulonis, The Wild Pacific is a sumptuous exploration of the amazing wildlife that populates the eastern Pacific Ocean from Baja, California, to the Galapagos Islands. At very few places on Earth is biodiversity so readily observable--and so apparently critical to the overall ecological health of our planet.
