Community Celebrating Grant to Restore Historic Americus Colored Hospital

Wednesday morning, the Americus-Sumter County Movement Remembered Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate restoration efforts at the historic Americus Colored Hospital.
Almost 100 years ago, the Americus Colored Hospital opened its doors on April 17, 1923.
