MCLB Albany Set to Celebrate 70 Years in Albany

Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany will celebrate 70 years of existence in Albany, Ga, March 1, 2022. This milestone in MCLB Albany’s history will signify seven decades of serving both the warfighters and the community it has been a part of.

On March 1, 1952, the Marines were welcomed by the citizens of southwest Georgia as the then-Marine Corps Depot of Supplies. The name has changed two more times, eventually being named MCLB Albany in 1978. In 2005, the base was realigned and divided into Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany and Marine Corps Logistics Command, its largest tenant.
