The Dougherty County Library System will hold a Grand  Opening for The Event Center at Northwest Library on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 11  a.m. to 2 p.m. The facility is located at the Northwest Library Branch of the Dougherty  County Library at 2507 Dawson Road, Albany, Georgia. 

Located in the heart of Northwest Dougherty County, The Event Center at Northwest Library is the county’s premier event space now available for lease. Encompassing a space of its own that  is easily adaptable to a host of activities and gatherings, this 5,000-square-foot Wi-Fi-enabled  multi-functional space is equipped with tables, desks, stage, or left open for hands-on activities.  The renter’s event establishes the setup and design of the facility. 

“We are excited to offer this new facility for rental to area residents and businesses in Dougherty  County,” said Gail Evans, Library Director for Dougherty County Library System. “This space  offers the perfect setting for most any medium-sized occasion, from large to very intimate, and  we are dedicated to making every event a memorable occasion for the individual or business.” 

During the Grand Opening, visitors will be able to tour the facility and obtain information on  renting the facility for meetings, training, workshops, wedding receptions, family reunions, and  more. The facility offers its own parking and entrance separate from the Northwest Library on  the east side of building.
