Albany Firefighter First Female to be Promoted to Lieutenant

The Albany Fire Department announced that firefighter Christy L. Bengis was promoted to lieutenant, making her the first woman to hold that rank in the department's history.
Lt. Christy L. Bengis is a native of Albany and the daughter of Susan and Richard “Spider” Bengis.
