Albany School Zone Cameras have Ticketed More than 7,000 Drivers in the Last 3 Months

At Tuesday night's commission meeting, commissioners confronted Albany Police Chief Michael Persley about the alarming number of calls they are receiving because of speeding citations.

Chief Persley responded by saying “The goal is to get people to slow down, and I understand people are not happy about these citations, but I can tell you, I have seen people slow down in school zones. If we can save more lives because people will slow down, this is a good thing.”
