Medical Reserve Corps looks for Helping Hands in Southwest Georgia

Despite the amount of COVID-19 cases winding down in Southwest Georgia, the Georgia Department of Public Health has opportunities for people looking to lend a hand with or without a medical background.
The Medical Reserve Corps, which was founded after President George W. Bush’s 2002 State of the Union address, are community-based units that function as a way to locally organize and utilize volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies and promote healthy living throughout the year. MRC volunteers are meant to supplement existing emergency and public health resources.
