Colony Bank today announced that Heath Gilbert has joined the Company as Senior Vice President, Regional Credit Officer in the Albany market.

Gilbert has over 15 years of banking experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Regional Senior Credit Officer with Renasant Bank. Prior experience includes positions such as Small Business and Consumer Credit Officer, Relationship Manager, Senior Underwriter, Regional Analyst and CRA Officer with various banks. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Continuing professional development has included the Wharton Leadership Program through the Wharton School of Business, Stonier Banking School at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Credit Risk Certification from the RMA (Risk Management Association).

Commenting on the announcement, Lenny Bateman, Chief Credit Officer, said, "We are very pleased to welcome Heath to Colony Bank. With over 15 years of banking experience, he brings a deep level of expertise in all facets of credit and will be instrumental in helping our customers."

Gilbert and his wife Molly have two children, daughter, Dana, and son, Avery, and attend Church at The Groves in Leesburg, GA. Gilbert is a member of Artesian City Sertoma Club. He is also a member of the competition Master's Boxing Team and a financial supporter of Beat The Streetz Boxing Gym, which provides at-risk youth a safe place to train and focus on academics.
