Waffle House Celebrates 65 Years in Business

Waffle House celebrated its 65th birthday on Saturday, marking a momentous milestone for what might be Georgia's most universally beloved institution.
The legendarily reliable diner chain served its first waffle on Sept. 5, 1955 at its first location in Avondale Estates. And since then they've served - well, there's no official count, but it's a lot of waffles.
