Wild Adventures Extends Free Teacher Admission
Wednesday, July 29th, 2020
Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Ga. is extending its free admission offer for teachers and continuing to collect school supply donations to support Teacher’s Harvest.
“Our ‘Back to School Splash’ is an event we look forward to every year because it gives us a chance to show our appreciation to educators and support students at the same time,” said Adam Floyd, marketing communications manager. “And because this year has presented so many challenges for schools and students, we extended the event for a second weekend to collect as many school supplies as we can.”
Now through Sunday, August 2, guests who bring a school supply donation will receive “Buy One, Get One Free” admission to Wild Adventures, which includes Splash Island Waterpark. The donations will be given to Teacher’s Harvest, a program of Second Harvest of South Georgia, to distribute to local schools.
“We are looking for donations of traditional school supplies such as pencils, papers and folders as well as individually packaged face coverings and hand sanitizer,” said Floyd.
During the “Back to School Splash,” all teachers and support staff can receive complimentary single-day admission to the park with a valid school ID or proof-of-employment. Anyone who works for a public or private school system is eligible.
