ASU Center for Educational Opportunity: Virtual Series
Tuesday, July 7th, 2020
Join the ASU Center for Educational Opportunity (CEO) for the first in a series of conversations to emerge from the recent CEO publication, "A Sacred Space: 12 Expert Teachers Share Stories of Resilience, Success and Leadership."
The virtual series will begin on July 8 at 7 p.m. with a conversation on Reclaiming Humanity in Trauma-Informed Classrooms and the Urgency of Dismantling the School-to-Prison Pipeline with two nationally recognized teachers of the year, Kelisa Wing and Kimberly Worthy.
The teacher-leaders will reflect on their professional experiences in often under-resourced communities and shed light on what will be required for education in the future to ensure that the call for social justice does not go unheard in America's public schools.
