U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) today spoke with Albany-based small businesses during the Albany Area Chamber Commerce’s 16th annual Washington, DC Fly-In.
“As a businesswoman, I know the valuable role job creators play in their communities,” Loeffler said. “During the coronavirus, the Albany Area Chamber has been instrumental in helping Albany small business owners access resources and navigate these uncertain times. As our state continues to reopen, I am committed to doing everything I can to help employers recover from the pandemic and get Georgians safely back to work. It’s conversations like today’s that shaped my USA RISE Plan that seeks to reignite our economic engine. I appreciate CEO Bárbara Rivera Holmes and the Albany Area Chamber’s leadership and input as I continue to work in Washington on behalf of the Peach State.”
“We are appreciative of Sen. Loeffler’s support of the federal aid that has provided critical relief for our community and our businesses throughout COVID-19 and now, through our safe reopening,” said Bárbara Rivera Holmes, president and CEO of the Albany Area Chamber, which Tuesday virtually hosted its 16th annual Washington, DC Fly-In. “The forward trends and issues on which the Albany Area Chamber is focused – small business innovation and entrepreneurship; economic development; inclusivity and advocacy; talent and work force training – are more important now than ever. We look forward to working with Sen. Loeffler to advance these areas and create more opportunities for our citizens.”
