Cavco Completes Acquisition, Partners with Community

Cavco Industries, Inc. recently completed their acquisition of Destiny Industries, LLC, based in Moultrie, GA. Founded by brothers Bill and Donnie Edwards in 1978, Destiny has been a highly respected and innovative producer of manufactured and modular housing for over four decades, providing jobs and opportunities for its Colquitt County based workforce. With new ownership by Cavco, Destiny continues to be a leader in the manufactured and modular home industry.
Cavco Industries, based in Phoenix, AZ, but with plants across the US, builds the Fleetwood, Palm Harbor, Nationwide, and Fairmont brands, along with several others. Cavco will now add the Destiny Homes brand to its portfolio, expanding Cavco’s business in the important Southeastern US and Florida markets.
Destiny Homes recently hosted a dealer show at its Moultrie location, modeling 6 homes with new floorplans, colors and finishes designed to meet growing consumer demand.
Through partnership with the Moultrie Colquitt County Development Authority, Cavco will continue production at the Moultrie location, retaining 247 Destiny employees and hiring up to an additional 30 new employees over the next three years. Cavco has already begun adding new equipment to improve operations and respond to changing consumer demand.
